We make camp at McKinney Falls State Park, where we attempt to take a dip in the relatively small but very slip-and-slidy waterfalls. Matt, the brave one, busted his ass more than once.
At night, we got some brew and ‘que and then head to the downtown Austin riverside for the 4th of July festivities. The Austin Symphony Orchestra played patriotic music on the lawn while families picnicked and laid on their blankets. I whooped Matt’s butt in dominos while waiting for some GREAT fireworks. We were so happy that even the ridiculous amount of traffic couldn’t wipe the smiles off our faces.
Don't mess with us.
