Windows down, we put on the California playlist, consisting of songs about or from California, and drive up the coastal US 1 to be reunited with my lovely best friend Marina Perrone on the outskirts of LA in Glendale, CA. We got real Rick James on Sunset Blvd and were not exactly running on all six the next day.
